My guess for which words would most likely appear were right education and college. When I deleted both education and college the wordle changed and job and different became the predominant words. When I saw this I thought that of looking at the college experience in a different way and how it does not always have to go back to a specific job.

While customizing the design of my wordle I decided on coolvetica font. I went with horizontal and straight edged layout because that is the way a college institution likes to appear. I also chose milk paints with lots of variation for the colour because I thought of the text and how people have many different and variations of the college experience.

I removed the four most frequent words college, digital, image and education. This changed the overall this changed the overall appearance of the wordle because it brought metadata and information to the for front, which is the main point of the blog post.

I modified my wordle using Mail Rail Stuff font, any which way layout and yramir for colour. I chose the bright colours I thought it would draw people in and I believe that is what a blog is about. The wordle gives off a neutral out look on and from first impression the main topic seems to be college. Although that is not the main topic of my blog when you look at the wordle it does look like a college class exploding and in this case it is a words combined from an assignment.

The wordle correctly refelcts what the 1984 is about. It shows that Winston is the main character as his name stands out the most. The second most predominant word is Party, which shows how their society is based around the rules and laws of this Party.

I removed the words Winston and Party. This changed the wordle where the most predominant word became one. I thought of the story and how it is a about one individuals view of the struggle in a totalitarian society

I customized the wordle by using expressway free font and organic carrot colour. I figured it showed the colourful life Jobs has lived. The wordle portrays a real persons life with both negative and positive words involved. His motivational speech to the graduates of Stanford is inspiring and I think that that shows through the wordle.

I chose The Ballad of Yaada by E. Pauline Johnson because it is my favourite poem. The poem is about a love story of how a Squamish man and Haida woman fell in love. They were warring communities so the love affair did not last long before the Haida woman was taken back to die among her people. The couple spent their years yearning for each other and through the poem this is depicted using the beauty of nature.

I thought the highest frequency words would be Yaada and Capilano Canyon because Yaada is the name of the Hadia woman and the man lives in the Capilano Canyons. The word that does have the highest frequency is Capilano then canyon. After the deletion of Capilano and canyon the words were all closer in size.

I customized the wordle by using the color scheme moss because I thought it went with nature of the poem. I also went with the font Powell antique because this poem was written in 1912 the last work of Johnson before her death. The word cloud gives off a feeling of Indigenous coastal living, which the poem does as well but is not the main topic of the poem.

I choose to analysis my past twenty facebook wall posts. The topics of the posts were mostly friends letting me know how they were doing or asking my about plans. There was also some inside jokes and people just dropping in to say hello.

I thought the most frequent words would be Jess because most people start off their post addressing me. The other word I thought would have frequency would miss because a lot of people that write on my wall are friends and family from back home who I do not see as often. Miss is one of the larger words, but Jess is not. Know actually has the highest frequency in the word cloud. Taking out know changed the whole dynamic of the wordle making all the other words predominant and closer in size. The wordle shows a theme of social life which makes sense since it comes from a social media.

The topic of my reflective journal for EDCI 373 Aboriginal Education was different ways to look at filling the gap of non-Aboriginal people and Aboriginal people in mainstream education systems. The journal covered experiences of the class throughout the term and articles read. The wordle reflected the topic the journal well.

The words I figured would have the highest frequency were education and Aboriginal. The word that came up as the highest frequency was people then education, class and Aboriginal. The deletion of the word people made words such as students, economy and community stand out more.

For the layout of the wordle I used rounded edges to create a circular shape because my paper talked about the classroom setting creating a more holistic atmosphere and I believe circular learning creates this.

The tag cloud is very different from the wordle I created. The wordle was bright and seemed to be overall more creative. Although the Tag Crowd offers numerous languages, you can change the maximum amount of words shown and how many times a word is shown. It also offers you the option to show the frequency of the word right on the image, ignore words from a custom stoplist, and allows you to save your final creation as a PDF. One feature that would be great for both wordle and Tag Crowd would be being able to save your creation as an image. It would just save the user time instead of doing a screenshot and having to paste, crop and cut. A stoplist is another thing Tag Crowd has that wordle does not. You can create a custom list of words that you do not want to appear in your tag cloud.
