Language packs add additional display, help, and proofing tools to Microsoft 365. You can install additional language accessory packs after installing Microsoft 365. If a language accessory pack is described as having partial localization, some parts of Microsoft 365 may still display in the language of your copy of Microsoft 365.

If you're an administrator who has deployed a volume licensed version of Office 2016 to your users, you can download an ISO image of the language packs, language interface packs, and proofing tools from the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC).

Select the version of Microsoft 365 you're using from the tabs below, then select the language desired from the drop-down list. Then choose the appropriate architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) from the download links provided. If you're not sure what you're using, see What version am I using?

If the language accessory pack includes proofing tools for that language, its status appears as Proofing installed. If the status is Proofing available, select the link to install the proofing tools.

You can change the default language for all your Microsoft 365 applications in the Set the Office Language Preferences dialog. For more information, see Add a language or set language preferences in Office.

MS Language Pack is a software package that allow Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint...) to be used in different languages other than the English and French (by default in CERN CMF). Beyond simple user interface changes, this pack includes proofing tools to improve productivity.

Microsoft Proofing tools for Office 365 allows people to edit Office documents in different languages. These editing tools may include spelling and grammar checkers, thesauruses, and hyphenators. Proofing tools may also include language-specific editing features such as Language AutoDetect, AutoSummarize, and Intelligent AutoCorrect.

Due to compatibility issues I had to ditch openoffice and libreoffice for Microsoft Office. I installed it using wine and everything works fine so far. The one thing I am missing, though is the Swiss German proofing tool, which is not part of the standard installation.

I downloaded it from the Microsoft website and got a .exe file. When I execute it I get the error The expected version of the product was not found on the system. I checked the installed version of Microsoft Office, it's 2010, also the proofing tool I downloaded is the service pack 2 for Microsoft Office 2010.

Can anyone help me on this? All the answers I found online were about uninstalling Microsoft Office, adding the files from the service pack to the mounted .iso archive, and adding a few lines to some .xml files, but these require an archive, whereas I could only find .exe files to download.

On the Dutch DVD there is folder called Proofing.nl-nl which contains another folder: proof.nl. I take it these are the proofing tools. I installed the English version of Office first. After that, I tried to run Proof.msi from the folder I mentioned earlier, hoping that this way I could install the Dutch proofing tools. That didn't work, I got an error message.

After that I tried a custom install of the Dutch version over the English version, installing only the Dutch proofing tools. This resulted in 750MB of extra disk space usage. I quickly figured out why so much disk space was used: apart from the proofing tools, Office also decided to install all the Dutch user interface files, so I can switch from English menu's, help, etc. to their Dutch equivalents.

That's all not what I want. To put it simple: I want the English Office 2007 with Dutch proofing tools. Nothing more, nothing less. I know that one can buy language packs, but that seems a waste since I have both the Dutch and the English version lying here on my desk.

I even tried to do some manual file "hacking" after the installation. I unpacked the proofing tools for Polish from the msi installation file (Install Explorer for Total Commander helped a lot with that), but it didn't yet worked.. after that I figured out that Office is looking for proofing files in Application Data folder for your account (%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Proof). I copied the files into it and the grammar checker started to work, but only the grammar :/

I may have misunderstood the literature regarding the language packs or language proofing tools. 1st of all I am not sure if they are the different names for the same thing or not. Are they? 2nd I do not in ay way want to change my UI with a different language. All I want to be able to do is -1- let Office not give me those squiggly red lines when I write in a different language -2- be able to spell-check and grammar check in the other language. And since I often use more than one language at the same time (2 to 3) be able to use all of the languages for spell-check etc. at the same time. So what exactly am I looking for?

Now I have no idea why they split it up into so many items, and give the user the ability to set each of those independently; you have to ask them. But yes, you can write German documents on Word with an Italian user interface, French tooltips and Swedish help screens if you wish.

Anyway, for the editing language, you have the proofing tools, which include spell check, grammar check etc. These tools aren't available separately, but some versions of MS-Office include more than one language. See Localized versions of Office.

For different interface languages, you can download LIPs (Language Interface Packs) for free. However, those LIPs are only available for a handful of languages, none of them very widespread. For instance, English, Chinese or Spanish are not among them, to name a few. Here is the list.

Then the language packs; those are complete packages of language features (containing editing, display, help and tooltip texts) which are not available for download, but which can be purchased online.
Or rather, they used to be; all the links for those language packs redirect to the Office 2013 purchase page these days. Which is a shame, since this looked like it was what you wanted. Sorry.

Edit:
A collegue of mine told me about the Digital River storage site, where you can download those language packs, with the same filenames as you mentioned even. I wasn't aware of that; Microsoft's site never mentions this, as they are no longer interested in supporting Office 2010, apparently. Oh well.

I am able to successfully install the Office 365 Apps with Proofing tool but the issue is when I create an Appstack using the VMware Horizon for provisioning to machine, the proofing tools become missing (Office Apps working fine).

I do a fair bit of scanning articles in foreign languages. To help the correcting process, I got the proofing tools. Since I do allmy web pages in Frontpage (using it just as a WYSIWYG editor) I expected them towork with FrontPage 2000.Frankly they doesn't work very well. Installing them justdoesn't work reliably at all. Some very nasty things can happen, and infact you can corrupt your Office setup in such a way that you will not be ableto use the foreign-language spell-checking at all, whatever you do. In the end I had to reinstall Windows - very unpleasant. However I have a clue, which has worked for me, so I offer it toyou:Installation method - My Best Guess 1. Install Microsoft Office 2000.2. Install Microsoft Frontpage 20003. Install Microsoft Office 2000 Proofing Tools (not thatit will make a lot of difference).4. If you do all this, Frontpage pretends to take nonotice. But here's the clever bit.

  • Write your Spanish/Italian in Frontpage and save it.
  • Now do ToolsPage OptionsSet Default Spelling Language to 'Italian (Standard)' or whatever.
  • Now do ToolsSpelling. It will tell you 'Microsoft Frontpage can't check the spelling in this document. This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?' SAY NO!!!
Frontpage is no good at installing proofing tools. Let theinfinitely better Microsoft Word installer do it.

With MS Office 2010 Language Preferences, languages for proofing tools such as Spelling and Grammar can now be defined once and made available to all Office applications such as Word, Oulook and PowerPoint.

MiniTool OEM program enable partners like hardware / software vendors and relative technical service providers to embed MiniTool software with their own products to add value to their products or services and expand their market.

Word proofing tools makes your sentences more professional without grammatical errors. However, sometimes you may encounter missing proofing tools in Word. If you are bothered by this issue, do not worry. This article on MiniTool shows you some feasible solutions to fix this error.

Many web browsers, such as Internet Explorer 9, include a download manager. Stand-alone download managers also arbic available, including the Toools Download Manager. The Microsoft Download Manager solves these potential problems.

It gives you the ability to download multiple files at one time and download large files quickly and reliably. It also allows you to suspend active downloads and resume ;roofing that have failed. Microsoft Download Manager is free and available for download now. Warning: This site requires the use of scripts, which your arabiv does not currently allow.
