I too commend the makers of this really cool open source tool. I've spent some time converting mp4 to swf via ffmpeg and it works fine. Native support for other formats would by astounding. What's the issue?

as this software is flash-based, it can only read video files accepted
by the flash platform.

i was told to use flv, howeve, everything i convert is really pixleated in onyx, especially in the main mix window, what is the best, most lossless conversion method/ file format for onyx?

I personally use ffmpeg -i videoToConvert -b 400k -an -f avm2 -s
320x240 pathToLibrary/ConvertedFile.swf

Hey, thanks for those params! I've been trying out different settings

Sorry for this newbie question, but I downloaded some videos from youtube (.flv format) and I can't open them with onyx (but it does work with any player like VLC). Any Idea about it ? Should I rather convert mpeg files to .swf ?

SWFs generated with FFMpeg (using the params I said before) seems to
be the better way...
