Hi,

I try to create a new user in the /Config KB of my OntoWIki install (1.0.0), but that only works when right-clicking on the sioc:User, the button 'Add instance' doesn't work!

Then I get the popup box, including the property sysOnt:userPassword. After saving the new user info the userPassword property is not encrypted ... therefore the user account doesn't authenticate. I thought the userPassword should encrypt when saved, at least that was the previous behaviour IIRC.

Any suggestions on how to enter a new user, including an encrypted password?

Thanks,
Roland

Hey Roland,
if you directly create a new instance of sioc:User it takes all of the properties literally.
For encrypting the password you have to create the user with the "Register User" function (Menu: "User" > "Register New User", http://<ontowiki>/application/register)
If you want to change the password of a user you have to login and go to Menu: "User" > "Preferences", http://<ontowiki>/application/preferences (Don't forget to tick the field "Change Password?")
If you don't know the password of the user and want to set a new one, the workaround is:
Login as Administrator or System-Administrator, remove the password property of this user, logout and login as the user with an empty password. Now you can set a new password as described above.

If now also created a page in the documentation for this: http://docs.ontowiki.net/User-Management.html

All the best,
Natanael
