Hi,

I'm reading about ontop, and did not find anything in the documentation about a feature.
I wonder to know if there is the possibility of generating a owl-dl or rdf representation of the database schema and the mappings between them in an "automatic" form.
To create the rdf, it would be something like rdbtoonto (https://sourceforge.net/projects/rdbtoonto/) does. But if I use the rdbtoonto to do this, I need to make the mappings in ontop manually.

Is there any automated way to do this, or only manually?

Thanks for listening.

Hi Vinicius,

Yes, Ontop provides a mapping/ontology bootstrapper based on the Direct Mappings W3C recommendation.

In our Protégé plugin:
https://github.com/ontop/ontop/wiki/ObdalibMappingExtraction

Command line interface:

Best,
Benjamin
