Call for Abstracts

First edition of the OntoLitS 2026 – Workshop on Ontologies for Literature and Literary Studies, Brixen-Bressanone (Italy), PTH Brixen College, between 1 and 4 December 2026, in the context of TriCoLore 2026.

The workshop will be dedicated both to the presentation of mature or ongoing work and to the discussion of ideas still in their early stages of development. The topics will lie at the intersection of literary research and knowledge representation, with specific attention to the conceptual and methodological challenges involved in developing ontological models for knowledge and data in the literary domain. We will also focus on application-oriented contributions demonstrating how ontologies can support research in literary studies.

Participation: it requires the submission of an abstract of no more than 1,000 words by 15 October 2026.

Depending on the participants’ interest and the number of contributions, the organisers intend to coordinate a special issue in a diamond open-access journal.

All information is available online:

We hope to see you in Bressanone in December,

Best regards,
Emilio Sanfilippo,
On the behalf of the organizers (ES, Claudio Masolo, Evelyn Gius, and Federico Pianzola)
