Homosaurus headings

Hello everyone!

I'm wondering if any of you have started incorporating Homosaurus subject headings into your records?
And if so, do you use their authority records? Do you use them in addition to LCSH headings?

At this point we use the LGBTQ+ and the other accepted terms. We are also putting a genre sticker on all books.

We are in the process of adding these headings at the County of Brant. Oxford County library is up and running with new headings.

Our consortium downloaded the appropriate subject heading for indigenous and as new ones come in I edited them appropriately. And as we relabel books I will change for both. Janna

It's on my project wishlist, but honestly, we barely have authority control (we use a shared database with no oversight/direction for authority control), so it'll take us a while to tackle this.

But my hope is that we will fully adopt terms from Homosaurus and FNMIIO within the next couple of years.

Would love to hear people's takeaways, best practices, and/or things learned who have completed the process of adding these headings!
