Dear PCC colleagues,

I am very pleased to announce that the PCC Guiding Principles for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Metadata Creation was approved by the Policy Committee on January 19, 2023. The direct link is: https://www.loc.gov/aba/pcc/resources/DEI-guiding-principles-for-metadata-creation.pdf.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the members of the PCC Advisory Committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for their great work to draft this document. As stated in the PCC Strategic Directions, 2018-2022, PCC is committed to making DEI principles (including accessibility) and metadata ethics an integral part of PCC work.

Best regards,

/Charlene (on behalf of the PCC Policy Committee)
