David Suzuki was once a highly respected activist, a geneticist who
seemed to be one of the good guys, fighting the corporate rape of the
environment. But lately, all he has been is a hack for the corporate
climate change paradigm, where the polluters get to ‘trade’ for the
right to release the “pollutant”carbon dioxide(it is required for all
life on earth, but nevermind that, it is now a pollutant). Meanwhile,

David Suzuki and Campaign Finance Questions - Politics does,
indeed, create strange bedfellows
Well.. never one to leave a dead horse, well, unbeaten, I did some
more looking into our new Davidian leader, David Suzuki and his little
foundation.
According to the David Suzuki foundation annual report from
2006/2007, these contributors gave his foundation over $1 million:
Stephen R. Bronfman Foundation – heir to the Seagrams empire, and
fundraiser for Stephane Dion – happens to give over $1 million through
his foundation to David Suzuki, who, well, just happens to get on his
bus, with a big logo saying, “If YOU were the Prime Minister” and then
drives around Canada complaining about the Conservative governments,
and, in the period leading to the election he just happens to, well,
support the Liberals and slam the Conservatives and the NDP.
Power Corporation of Canada – as already discussed, the major
financial service corporation in the Country, operating Canada Life,
Great West Life, London Life, Investors’ Group, and, apparently,
making a lot of money in China.. which economy will benefit greatly
when western countries are pressed to adopt ridiculous environmental
protocols while China ignores adopting any whatsoever.
Beyond that, well, could Power Corporation of Canada have ties to
the Liberal Party as well.. hmm.. well, let’s see.
Former Prime Minister Paul Martin, was hired in the 1960s to work
for Paul Desmarais, Sr. by Maurice Strong. Martin then became
President of Canada Steamship Lines, a subsidiary of Power Corporation
of Canada, until he made a very provident purchase, acquiring CSL in
1981 and making a fortune as an owner of CSL. I’m sure that he owed no
thanks whatseover to Power Corporation of Canada.
Another former Liberal Prime Minister, Jean Chrétien sat on the
board of Power Corporation of Canada subsidiary Consolidated Bathurst
in the late 1980s before he became the leader of the Liberal Party of
Canada. Chrétien’s daughter France is married to the son of Paul
Desmarais, Sr., André. Also Chrétien’s chief of staff Eddie Goldenberg
worked in the past for Power Corporation of Canada.
So – again, a Corporation with a clear agenda to assist the
Liberal Party of Canada just happens to give David Suzuki a million
dollars, so he can drive around the Country complaining about
Conservatives and supporting the Liberals.
Patrick and Barbara Keenan Foundation – who is Patrick Keenan,
well, he is a director of Brascan Ltd., and who is Brascan, well,
among other things, you might remember Brascan as the owner of Royal
Lepage Relocation services, who was caught in the middle of a flap
about Liberal business being given to their supporters (do you recall
Adscam?). You see, as reported back in 2005 on CTV, the Liberal Party
was called on the carpet for handing out a billion dollar contract to,
well, Royal Lepage, who, in turn, was owned by Brascan, who, in turns
out, donated more than $90,000.00 to the Liberal Party of Canada in
the previous seven years. Indeed.
The Lefebvre Charitable Foundation – there is very little
information on this organization, and you’ve got to do a little
digging, but basically it appears this was set up by former lawyer,
then internet finance mogul, then, well, convicted illegal gambling
facilitator, John Lefebvre. In fairness, John doesn’t seem to be a
Liberal supporter, per se, though in financing the webblog,
“DeSmogblog.com”, certainly, he is no fan of the Conservatives and has
in fact taken a few swipes at the NDP as well for undermining the Dion
Carbon Tax.
So – anyway – this is about, oh, $4 million or more of money going
to David Suzuki’s foundation, and this is how, apparently, political
support works in Canada. It is curious, no? You see, if you can’t have
an individual give a million dollars to the Liberal Party of Canada,
what you can do, apparently, is set up a foundation, and have that
foundation give a million dollars to a professional loudmouth to
attack the Conservatives and, directly and indirectly, support the
Liberal party.
There is, in fact, a law about third party election promotion, and
it requires parties who intend to advertise and support a party to
register, and it limits their expenditures to $150,000.00. Problem is,
the David Suzuki Foundation isn’t registered in the last election,
and, I’m just guessing, they spent a hell of a lot more than
$150,000.00 in the year preceding the last election to basically
trumpet a song that went, “Vote for Dion”.
Interesting. And to think the Liberals were crying foul when
Stephen Harper suggested they didn’t need to suck up tax payer dollars
to fund their little party.
Indeed.
In reaction to a recent Suzuki article excusing climate gate, people
are seeing through the fraud David Suzuki:
What? David Suzuki….are you serious? Are you tied into this fraud
as well? You do realize that the people of Canada (especially BC) can
take lawfull and legal action against you if you are in colusion with
these fraudsters. It will be proven that you influenced the
polititians who set up carbon taxes and caused finacial harm to
individuals and companies all based on a fraud and they will sue you
and your foundation personally.

We actually met a few times - mostly in airports in between
flights. I’m sure the Copenhagen Summit and its proposed objectives
delights you, but you must admit that the entire affair reeks greater
than any emission ever put forth by humans (well, Al Gore exempted).
The proposed Carbon Tax will do little else than provide World leaders
with an excellent mechanism by which their pockets can be fattened -
with little to none of the funds being trickled down to people or
nations that need it. Like others have suggested, I would refrain from
embarking too heavily with such fraudsters, as others might certainly
seek to take legal action with you as well. Mr. Suzuki, man is
certainly causing destruction upon the planet, but beware the
temptation to provide sticky political fingers with too much power and
control over entire nations. Better ways exist to undo our mess.

Ironically, it�s Suzuki high priest James Hoggan�s book, exposing
Big Oil�s finance of the Denialistas that shows the tactics Suzuki and
his Big Oil financed cohorts use on their anti nuke campaign.
His study uses a 20 cent a kwh figure for nuclear when costs are
veering to less than 1 cent for new mass produced nukes. Areva�s
recent Ontario bid was $24 billion for 60 years of 3.3 gigawatts in
nukes all costs considered which works out to 1.5 cents a kwh.
Its India and China that are the leaders in GHG and pollution
battles with their embracing of nuclear technology. It is western
democracies with that greenie driven �renewable� religion that is
going to kill the planet.
Germany has already wasted 10 years and $100 billion on solar/wind
and has not reduced its greenhouse emissions one iota. To help with
its new found addiction to Russian gas, it is planning a massive build
of dirty coal plants to meet its baseload power requirements.
Suzuki�s pal Canwest/Gordo has spent $55B on corrupt Pirate power
purchases without any reduction in BC GHG�s when that same money spent
on nukes would have eliminated and been paid for by eliminating all of
Western Canada�s fossil fuel use with a less than 3 year payback
period.The nukes would free up natural gas for vehicle fuel as
conversion to electric cars begins. Gordo�s $55B in power will be
worthless in a little as ten years � 30 years left on the contracts -
with ultracheap new nuclear fusion and nuclear waste burning Gen IV
reactors coming on line.

A nuclear conversion saves us a ton of money, eliminates air
pollution and the associated death and suffering of thousands of
Canadians, arrests our slide over the climate/peak oil precipice,
creates a huge employment boosting domestic and export industry, and
makes our economy far more competitive than the US and Europe�s run by
fools with Suzuki�s not so �renewable� religion. Even the deniers here

tear up his Pirate Power contracts and negotiate with AECL to start a
GHG eliminating 15 gigawatt nuclear built in BC. Hold politicians feet
to the fire across Canada, demanding to know where are those orders
for the hundreds of new nukes AECL could be building right now, to end
Canada�s GHG emissions within ten years.
