Last Friday an American pleasure boat was washed ashore in heavy seas and
was beached at the Ipperwash Provencial Park - currently occupied by
natives.

The natives allegedly systematically looted and stripped the boat and
demanded $3500 for the return of what's left of the vessel.

Does anyone else out there believe that these yahoos are going to far, and
the law had better gets it's act togeather?

They've broken a lot of laws, but I think Piracy is a new one for them.
(and don't try to tell me it was a salvage opperation - the captian tried
to stop them...)

The hole indian issue is a joke. Our wonderful and useless Liberal
government has cut gov. hand -outs (good but not deep enough). We all
have had to do more for less- Why not the indians?????
As a tax payer, I would not give them a cent. Go get a job-Move to find
one-Stop living in the past!!

Cut-Off the land claims Do you see the Italians paying money to
countries for what the Roman's have done????It's all stupid.

Cut-Off hand-outs Earn it.

Laws are Laws This shit would not happen if everyone was treated equal
in court. He who breaks the law goes to jail.

Exactly!

One country, one law!

If I had walked walked over to a public beach and shredded a boat and
vanadalized it, you can bet I'd get charged.

Too bad the government doesn't have the backbone to standup to these
hooligans... and thesame goes for the OPP in this case.

Too simple for Canada :-)

The OPP tried to stand up and look what's happened. A year later, the
ISU has charged an officer with attempted murder. Bottom line, our
cops are being handcuffed by their superiors.

One day soon, a cop is going to get killed, because instead of
shooting when necessary, he stopped to wonder about the backlash,
either in Toronto, or in Northern Ontario. That cop will die for no
good reason other than politics. And that's murder of the worst type.

I've also heard that the thugs that committed this disgusting act
are not even from the local reservation.

It's time Premier Mike Harris launched an all-out assault to get the
Indians out.

They should also have some of their federal monies confiscated and
given to the American tourist as compensation.

The waffling over Ipperwash is disgusting.

A week or so ago, a Toronto cop was hailed as a HERO because he DIDN'T
shoot at a perp who had fired at him twice. But what would have
happened if the perp, emboldened or on an adrenelin high, had, after
he ran away, shot a couple of innocent people? The "public" would be
screaming for the cops head on a platter.
