Hell's Angels Drug Ring Takes A Jolt-Operation Axe

MONTREAL - A former Canadian Olympic weightlifter and a jailed biker
gang member were among 41 people arraigned on Friday following a
sweeping police crackdown on alleged drug traffickers.
Police in Quebec and Ontario have described Operation Axe as a major
blow against the drug-trafficking operations of the Hells Angels and
one of their affiliated street gangs.

Those arrested include Jean Lavertue, 34, who competed at the Olympics
in Atlanta in 1996.
Lavertue, who operated a Montreal gym, was arraigned by video
conference in Montreal on charges of drug trafficking and gangsterism.
Another person charged was Gregory Wooley, a close confidant of Hells
Angels kingpin Maurice (Mom) Boucher.
Wooley, who was arrested Thursday while already in prison in Kingston,
Ont., was charged with gangsterism.
The Crown said Wooley is the first person in Canada to be charged
twice with gangsterism.
Gangsterism convictions bring sentences that are served consecutively.
Police also arrested Fernand Lauzon, 67, a man identified as the
father of a Montreal police officer. Lauzon was charged with drug
trafficking.
One by one, the accused shuffled into sight of Quebec court Judge
Michel Bellehumeur via video conference from a Montreal police
operational centre in the city's north end.
The Crown said 18 people were granted bail under very strict
conditions that included a large cash deposit, strict curfews, and
restricted use of pagers and cell phones expect for work.
But the majority were detained pending future bail hearings.
Prosecutor Francis Cloutier said 17 of the 41 face gangsterism
charges.
"Principally, the charges are trafficking for the profit of a criminal
organization - trafficking of drugs," Cloutier said.
Two people are also charged with conspiracy to commit murder, but only
one of them has been arrested.
Police said Thursday that 47 people had been nabbed but the Crown said
Friday at least of those were still believed to be at large.
Three prosecutors are working on the case, Cloutier said.
About 700 officers took part in Operation Axe, which Montreal police
said was one of the biggest ever carried out by the city force. Some
500 Montreal cops were helped by 200 officers from the RCMP, Quebec
provincial police and several other cities, including Ottawa.
The raids netted $600,000 in cash as well as 25 guns and a number of
bullet-proof vests. Significant quantities of cocaine, crack, ecstasy,
marijuana and hashish were seized along with other drugs including
speed, Viagra and steroids.

SYRACUSE — A New Hartford man faces up to five years in prison after
pleading guilty to a charge in federal court, federal attorneys said
Friday.
Frank Perotta, 48, of New Hartford, pleaded guilty to making a false
statement to the FBI, attorneys said.
U.S. District Court Judge David N. Hurd in Utica scheduled sentencing
for Tuesday, June 16, at which time Perotta faces up to five years in
prison and a $250,000 fine.
In 2006 and 2007, the FBI, state police, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s
Department and the Oneida County Sheriffs Office had been
investigating whether the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club NOMADS Chapter
was engaged in racketeering activity in Central and Northern New York,
officials said.
Perotta was questioned by Special Agent Robert DeSantis of the FBI on
two occasions, and in both incidents he denied talking with David
Lust, a member of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club NOMADS Chapter.
Telephone records and testimony from other witnesses prove that this
was false, attorneys said.

extortion, homicide, kidnapping, prostitution, meth and cocaine
dealing, rape, armed robbery and motorcycle theft and child
pornography
as well as phony currency and witness intimidation and obstruction of
justice. They have been known to bribe and scare law enforcement
officers and judges into doing their bidding. These ppl must be

out of the Cdn justice system. Three judges including Ontario Superior
Court Justice John McMahon have actually done their

calling for it to be banned as a terrorist org.

The White Rock chapter Sgt.Of Arms, Villy Roy Lynnerup, recently was
arrested for trying to board an airplane at YVR
with a loaded firearm. Was probably going to crash the plane into the
Downtown courthouse or hold the passengers hostage in exchange for
the
release of Moms Boucher and all imprisoned full patch members. All
the
Hell's Angels, their supporters, associates etc. should be imprisoned
for twenty years
their children put in foster care and their assets seized.
Ppl are trying to get HAMC listed as a terrorist org. If you support
this
then write letters to editors of local newspapers and your local MP.
As well John Les the solicitor-general of BC before he resigned has
advocated banning
the wearing of gang colours such as biker patches in bars. Perhaps
John VanDongen can finish the job he started. Since HA
is
known to frequent Brandi’s and the Cecil and has links to
various bars in BC that would be an improvement. The gang has a
history of intimidating
bartenders, infiltrating unions involved in the bar industry, beating
and killing strippers and beating customers to death at random for no
reason. Contact your MLA as well as the local media and tell them you
want this implemented sooner rather than later.
VPD is appealing again for info about the homicide of Maria Yvette
Monzon who was shot dead on the westside of Vancouver. She was killed
by HA but the police have never stated that. There is a reward.
Colleen Reiter (Ryder?) of Surrey was killed by HAMC but the RCMP
refuse to confirm this.
