This is announce a new website about cycling in and
around the Ottawa/Gatineau area. It features detailed
articles, easy-to-understand maps, and numerous photos of
a variety of bicycle rides, paths, and routes in the
national capital region. These include the paths around
town as well as rides to such nearby places as the
Gatineau Hills and Carleton Place.

The URL for the new website about cycling is:
http://mcgoldrick.ca/bike

This non-commercial website also provides considerable
material about several destinations outside the
Ottawa/Gatineau area. This includes articles about
riding among the wineries of Prince Edward County
and cycling the Laurentians on the famous
"P'tit train du Nord" trail.

This website's primary focus is road biking and touring.
It is generally aimed at people who are relatively new to
cycling or new to the Ottawa-Gatineau region, although the
descriptions of some of the rides and tours may be of
interest to more experienced cyclists.

Thank you.

Thanks so much for all the details. This summer is my first, road biking seriously. I much prefer the bikepaths and have recently ridden the Aylmer route. I was curious to know if it went further after that sharp incline, I guess near the 148. I will venture past this point and continue to loop back to the Champlain bridge. It's amazing what you can find when browsing the web! MGT
