As far as I know, the three Eastern Red Damsels I encountered on Howe Island this afternoon (June 20, 2025) are the first ones ever seen in the Kingston Study Area which is a 50 km radius circle centered on Murney Tower in Kingston. They were seen along a well-vegetated drainage ditch on the Howe Island Trail. They stood out quite well beside the nearby forktails and cooperated nicely for some photos. Happy summer!
