Greetings!

Hope all of you are doing great or even better than that!

After a brief vacation I'm back in the office and we are moving on with
the ontology work.

Currently we are focusing on the part of the (huge) real life research
study data set and the section of the ontology covering these data (i.e.
dietary intake data). The goals are to test how ontology works on a
selected small subset of data and whether this way of dealing with data is
potentially applicable in other similar scenarios.

We expect that we will have something in fairly demonstratable condition
by sometime 2nd or 3rd week of September and would like to schedule a
WebEx meeting around that time.

Looking forward to meeting all of you again!

P.S.
I will send you a doodle poll for the meeting date-n-time shortly.

Thank you!

snez

Hi Snezana, all,

Good to hear things are moving forward. FYI, I will be on vacation September 14th to 21st.

I just finished turning two datasets into RDF, one of those containing just under 70k reports. If that sounds similar to what you have, Alan and myself could share our experience (spoiler: it wasn't that straightforward to get the reasoning to perform as desired)

Cheers,
Melanie

Hi Melanie!
Too bad you won't be able to make it :-(
We'll record the meeting.
I certainly would like to hear about your experiences with all that data
and reasoning. At certain point of time we will have to deal with a lot of
very different types of data per each patient (or study participant) and
any word of wisdom from the "data-onto linking world" is welcome.

Right now, I'm dealing with small subset (intakes of certain amino acids)
of a subset (dietary intakes) of study participant data, just for the
purposes of the first (of the first) test run. Will provide you with more
info about the practice where do data come from etc. during the meeting.

Hope you have a great vacation!
