Problem with plugin

Hi Onsset team,

I've been trying to run the model for the DRC, a big surface, without success so far: I left my PC a couple of days running the Onsset plugin but didn't obtain any result. Thinking that it could be because of the big extent of the datasets used, I tried but with a city only, Likasi. This time I didn't obtain any result neither but the system gave me the error message at the end of the post.

Do you have any idea of why this happened, please? Attached I send the datasets in case you could have a try with them on your PC, please.

For reference, I'm using the Python version 3.7.0 and the QGIS version 3.10.12-A, on an i7 PC. Please let me know if you need any further information.

Hello Cristian,

Sorry to hear that you are running into troubles with the plugin.

The files that you have sent, are you using them as input in the plugin? If so, that might be the problem.

We want you to use coordinate system EPSG:4326 for all the input layers, and then you can enter EPSG:3857 in the "Target CRS" field.

Can you try this and let us know if you are still having troubles with the plugin?

On a separate note, the Worldpop layer that you sent. Do you use this as your population layer? We want the population layer to have the following attributes:

1. The name of the country

2. A unique ID

3. Population in each unit

4. Area of each unit

5. Maximum nighttime light in each unit

6. Population living in lit areas

This is needed in order to run OnSSET at a later stage. There is a plugin available for creating the clusters available here: https://github.com/OnSSET/PopCluster or it can be done manually.
