Get a 1/2 size up.

After reading some reviews about these boots I decided to get a half size up. Fortunately this was the correct decision (at least for my feet). I have now put about 50 miles in the boots. All I can say is that they are great, especially for the price. They give great support and the anti-scuff front is a nice feature. The bottom tred give good traction on many types of terrain. Do not hesitate on purchasing these boots. Just make sure to compensate for the very true-to-size sizing chart that does not seem to take into account anything extra but your foot.

Good winter boot

This is a good winter boot, but not without faults.
Sizing runs slightly large, possibly to accommodate thick winter socks.
I have had them a little over one year ago and used them heavily.
Heavy, stiff construction that feels very sturdy. Apparently built for durability. Two weeks of hour a day walking before they felt 'broken in'. Even today I can not call them comfortable.
They are very warm, but not uncomfortably so in sub-50s weather.
Before wearing, I applied 4 coats of waterproofer. Perhaps because of this, there was no problem with dampness.
Before putting them into storage for the summer, I notice small cracks forming on the toe. There is a picture on imgur.com, rBq3i.jpg They are small cracks, but I am disappointed to see them in a $120 boot before its birthday.
If spending this much on another winter boot, I will probably consider other brands.
