Grace's Warbler (Setophaga graciae) (1)
- Reported Oct 16, 2025 18:10 by Peter Simons
- Checklist:
https://ebird.org/checklist/S279785012
- Comments: "MEGA find by the Runtz’s!!! Took a little while to refind it after the first initial sighting. Mike has really good record photos. We refound it along the south east footpath in the airfield after extensive searching about 50m from the main bike path. Pete and I both had eyes on it, as it fluttered from branch to branch somewhat like a kinglet tight to the trunk of the tree. Pete had better looks from the front of its face and called out that’s it! Hanging out with a big flock of Yellow-rumped warblers and blue birds. Bright yellow throat and yellow lores. Greyish above with dark streaking along flanks, white wing bars and white outer tail feathers. No yellow rump! First Algonquin Park record, second Ontario record (?). Incredible Lifer for all of us!"
