I managed to resolve ReportViewer.WebForms error by copying the DLL from C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\ReportViewer to bin folder of solution and set property copylocal = true and deployed the package. After that I received the error Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.ReportViewer.Common, Version=11.0.0.0 . I tried to search that DLL on my machine but couldn't. when project is running in visual studio, In Debug-> Windows->Module the file is not listed however in global assembly cache that file is installed but I don't know how its installed to global cache and from where . I found one solution that I had to install ReportViewer.msi from microsoft package but if i install this package it asks me to install SQL Server 2012 which I dont wan't. Could any one help me to resolve this issue. Thanks

in the project application files settings, i have set microsoft.reportviewer.processingObjectModel publish status to Include(Auto), in the references i have also set its Copy Local property to True.

We had the same issue, but the thing is, its automatically adding it to the references (microsoft.reportviewer.processingObjectModel), if u EXCLUDE it from the publishing properties(properties->publish->application files), It might fix it.

I am trying to use the reportviewer control in Visual Studio 2010 with ASP.NET to view a SQL Server 2005 Report. The reportviewer control in VS 2010 isn't backward compatible as it requires SQL Server 2008 or later, so I changed all the assemblies on the web.config & .aspx page to reflect version 8 instead of version 10. Now when I debug, on my localhost I get an error message as Access Is Denied for the report as displayed below [/URL]

But when I deploy the files onto the hosting server the reportviewer header menus show up with blank data & blank filter options. When I try changing the version to version 9, the report works flawlessly on my localhost. But my application errors out completely when I deploy the files onto the server.

Hi Martin,
I have a differetn question on Reportviewer. I want to display HTMl inside the reportviewer.I noticed that the content does not render all HTMl tags. Is there any work around for that or there is no possibilty for that
I have a field which holds HTML content i.e HTML tags so i need that to display inside a reportviewer..Let me know if there is any possibility
