Location: Minneapolis, MN (On-site – Mandatory)

Rate - $70/hr c2c

Role Summary

We are looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong software engineering background who has transitioned into AI/ML. This role leads 2–3 Scrum teams delivering AI‑augmented software as part of Project Plaid, a strategic initiative to consolidate legacy systems into a unified platform.

⚠️ Important: Candidates with only AI/ML experience and no prior software development background are not a fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery across 2–3 Scrum teams, ensuring predictable sprint execution and quality outcomes
• Drive agile ceremonies, manage risks/dependencies, and ensure release readiness
• Enable adoption of AI Development Life Cycle (AIDLC) and enterprise GenAI tools (AI-assisted coding, documentation, analysis)
• Enforce strong SDLC practices, code/design reviews, and Sonar Gate 5 / Gate 9 standards
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines with automated functional, security, and performance testing
• Provide technical direction on LLMs, RAG, AI agents/bots, and scalable AI/ML patterns
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, UAT, and Performance teams
• Coach and mentor engineers; manage stakeholder communication

Must-Have Skills

• Strong software engineering foundation (Java, React, Angular, or similar full-stack/UI technologies)
• Hands-on experience as an AI Builder or hybrid AI User + Builder
• Working knowledge of LLMs, RAG, and agentic frameworks
• Proven experience managing delivery across multiple Scrum teams
• Ability to work in ambiguity and deliver under pressure
