SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning

Role Objective
As the SAC Planning
Lead, you will be the primary architect and strategist for our global financial
planning and analysis (FP&A) solutions. You will drive the end-to-end
lifecycle of SAC implementation—from initial design and data modeling to
complex configuration and final deployment. You will serve as a bridge between
technical IT capabilities and executive-level financial requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead all
phases of SAC Implementation, including requirement gathering, system
design, construction, and rigorous testing cycles.
- Process Innovation: Advise global
clients on leading practices for business planning, covering strategic,
financial, and operational cycles.
- Technical Architecture: Design and
implement robust SAC Planning models, managing dimensions, versions, data
actions, and complex allocations.
- Optimization: Configure and
fine-tune data models, including hierarchies, currency conversion, data
wrangling, and the creation of blended data models.
- FP&A Modernization: Promote
continuous improvement and innovation to streamline forecasting and
budgeting for a global corporate environment.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Experience: Minimum 8+
years of total IT experience, with at least 5+ years of
hands-on expertise specifically in SAC Planning and Forecasting.
- SAC Deep Dive: Proven
proficiency in building Data Actions, Multi-Actions, and Planning
Stories.
- Advanced Modeling: Expert
knowledge in designing SAC models, including advanced formulas,
script-based logic, and complex allocation rules.
- Financial Acumen: Strong
understanding of core financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet,
Cash Flow) and experience working within US GAAP and IFRS
frameworks.
- Data Integration: Demonstrated
ability to manage data wrangling, currency conversion, and multi-source
data blending.
Desirable & Industry-Specific Skills
- Industry Expertise: Prior
experience in the Utilities sector is highly preferred.
- SAP FICA Knowledge: Familiarity
with SAP FICA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable) and how it
integrates with high-level financial reporting and planning.
- Communication: Exceptional
ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business
insights for stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
- SAP Certifications in SAC Planning
or S/4HANA Finance are a significant plus.
