Position: AWS Developer – Java, Spring Boot & DevOps

Location: Quincy, MA (Onsite)

Role Description:

We are looking for an experienced AWS Developer with strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in migrating legacy applications to AWS, building scalable microservices, and implementing DevOps best practices to ensure reliable and efficient deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE and Spring Boot based applications
• Develop cloud-native microservices using AWS services
• Lead and support cloud migration projects (on-prem to AWS)
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services
• Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline
• Implement DevOps practices including infrastructure automation and monitoring
• Use Docker & Kubernetes (EKS) for containerized deployments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure application security, scalability, performance, and reliability
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize cloud resources

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Solid understanding of cloud migration strategies
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, Microservices architecture
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases

Good to Have

• AWS Certifications (Developer / Solutions Architect)
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of Kafka, SQS, SNS
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
