Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to support accurate data retrieval, analysis, and correction within the MyInsight Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, hands-on experience with EHR systems, and a solid understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare billing, and data integrity processes. This role is critical in ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across clinical and administrative functions.
Required Qualifications- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with EHR systems, preferably MyInsight by Netsmart
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and report generation
- Minimum 2 years of experience with healthcare billing and insurance requirements (Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurance)
- Minimum 2 years of understanding of ICD/CPT coding and E/M documentation standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data cleanup and auditing workflows in a healthcare environment
Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk Data Validation and Correction- Utilize SQL queries and MyInsight reporting tools to identify and correct front desk-related data entry errors.
- Perform routine audits for:
- Benefit Assignments: end-date outdated or incorrectly assigned benefits
- Insurance Relationships: ensuring insured relationship is correctly set to “Self”
- Checkout Status: investigating patients who have not checked out and applying corrective actions
Clinical Data Integrity- Analyze service records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with billing requirements.
- Document current data entry workflows in MyInsight and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each program for formal documentation and process improvement.
- Identify, merge, and clean up duplicate patient records using MyInsight and supporting tools.
- Maintain record consistency across the EHR system to ensure accurate reporting and billing.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in a public health or clinical environment
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and reporting standards
- Ability to work effectively with both clinical and administrative teams
