Job Description: Software Engineer – Guidewire Policy Center

Locations: Hartford, CT and Hunt Valley, MD (3 days a week in Office, 2 days remote as per current client requirement. This may be changed overtime.)
Duration: 12 Months

 

Job Summary

• The client is a company that provides a wide range of insurance products and services to individuals and businesses.
• As a Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for developing and configuring software systems end-to-end or for specific stages of the product lifecycle.
• You will apply your expertise in technologies, applications, methodologies, processes, and tools to support project delivery.
• You will act as a subject matter expert, collaborate with multiple teams, manage team performance, contribute to key decisions, and provide solutions to challenges that impact multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of innovative software solutions that meet client requirements.
• Develop and configure software systems across the product lifecycle.
• Analyze project requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the development team.
• Facilitate team meetings to encourage collaboration and ensure alignment on project goals.
• Mentor team members, enhance their technical skills, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve system performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and contribute to technical and project-level decisions.
