As a Salesforce Developer, you’ll be comfortable with the development, design, and implement customizable solutions within Salesforce based upon CRM needs for the Michigan Enterprise Contact Center team at the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget.

Responsibilities

·         Hands-on CRM development supporting crisis call workflows for the MICAL (Michigan Crisis Line), including coding and delivering user stories

·         Work with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and any future enhancements

·         Ensure that the technical requirements tie back to the established customer requirements and performance goals and that the technical direction is consistent with the client's long-term strategy

·         Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code

·         Has overall technical responsibility for the technical aspects of the project environments

·         Compile internal development guidelines/standards for the development team and ensure the team is following those standards

·         Collaborate with Developers for other systems in order to integrate across the business

·         Ensure the proposed solutions adhere to SOM security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle

·         Proven record of delivering business value by leveraging technology and an ability to communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level and be a trusted voice at the decision-making table

·         Devise a training plan for the development team for a smooth and successful transition to Maintenance & Operations

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Salesforce Requirements

·         Strong knowledge and working experience in Service Cloud and Experience Cloud

·         Participation in each phase of full Salesforce.com lifecycle implementations

·         In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of Salesforce

·         Strong hands-on experience in writing Apex programming, Visualforce pages, Apex triggers, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components

·         Knowledge in implementing solutions using configurations (no-code) such as Flows, Process Builders, and Workflow Rules

·         Work with technical managers, architects, and business stakeholders in gathering requirements and driving the team to implement technical solutions

·         Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with cloud-based and on-premises applications using standard and custom REST APIs

·         Good experience in core web technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML)

·         Hands-on experience implementing authentication protocols (OAuth) to integrate third-party applications

·         Demonstrated success implementing Batch Apex and/or Schedule Apex development

·         Ownership of all end-to-end technical aspects of a Salesforce program including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, third-party applications, AppExchange products, and custom development

·         Define, communicate, and manage technical change management (release processes) for all Salesforce technology efforts

·         Assess Salesforce architecture and provide secure, high-performance technical solutions on the Force.com platform

·         Design and document technical architecture solutions that span multiple platforms including integrations and authentication

·         Support SFDX development, branch management, merging, and deployment using Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

·         Identify risks and issues from a technical perspective

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can work under dynamic conditions and within deadlines.

 

Required Qualifications

·         Demonstrated hands-on experience with Salesforce, including SFDX and Salesforce Development Lifecycle

·         6+ years of strong Salesforce development experience

·         4+ years of experience developing within Salesforce using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript

·         5+ years of experience working with Service Cloud and/or Health Cloud

·         3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning including LWC

·         2+ years of experience with API integrations and Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations

·         Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or comparable tools for requirements tracking, CI/CD, or release management

·         Exposure to data migration and/or cloud integration projects

·         Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I

·         Salesforce Certified Administrator

 

Preferred Qualifications

·         Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II

·         Additional beneficial experience (not required):

o    Experience with Conga and Drawloop

o    Familiarity with governmental processes and compliance, including FedRAMP-compliant tools and environments
