    5Beautifully made watering can that will last years

    And not to mention, one that you will find a space for near your planters and pots so that it is on display rather than trying to find somewhere to stash an ugly plastic can.

    This is heirloom quality at its best (if such a thing exists in the gardening community). With watering restrictions again this summer, I sought a large capacity, well built, comfortable / easy to use watering can. I decided after a lot of deliberation to buy this one, even thought the price was high.

    The can itself is solid without being heavy. It doesn't deflect in any way like some of the cheaper metal / zinc cans that I have seen in home hardware stores. It is comfortable to carry around, and certainly "feels" like it is trying to live up to it's price.

    The rose is well constructed, fits tightly, and doesn't drip or leak. There is a hidden debris filter that installs inside the can in such a way that it can easily be removed for cleaning. The paint looks to be powder coated, although I could be wrong, and certainly seems thick, scratch resistant and evenly applied, with no runs, lumps, streaks or other defects.

    So, despite thinking it was expensive, I'd say in conclusion that you're paying a reasonable price for a very well made product.

    5Great for a greenhouse

    I have a small greenhouse with 4' beds on each side of a row. It has been hard to water the plants next to the wall with a regular watering can because it is too heavy to hold out far enough to reach. This watering can makes the reach easy and gives a nice gentle flow.

    5Haws Watering Can is the Best

    Bought the large Haws watering can for an anniversary or birthday years ago. Only water, no chemicals have been dispensed with it, but finally the handle came off. For all these years it has been used to water new seedlings in the garden and on occasion has been left outside during weather. It is easy to hold, well balanced to pour, good control with rosette facing down and soft wide coverage with rosette facing up. The paint has held up well (it is galvanized beneath the paint providing maximum protection). Hope to have the handle on the old can re-attached (welded or soldered).

    To the point, what price love? Bought the green Haws large watering can and is about the same as the old one. Some things are just worth the price. If you get it, love it and it will love you back. Also, she will love you back .
