Position: Oracle Apps DBA

Location: Southborough, MA

Duration: 6+ months

Rate: Market

Interview process will be a phone interview then Video or Face to face

 

Client is seeking a talented and tenured Oracle Apps DBA for a 6+ month project in the Greater Boston, MA area. The selected consultant will perform the installation and configuration of database management systems and application servers to include database upgrades including new data structures and technical advances, Ensures efficient database integration in both the test and production environments for new architectural design projects, upgrades and system patches, & Implements standards to be utilized in the effective integration of current applications with Oracle RAC. Additionally they will support Oracle databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems, for applications with data warehouse and Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) components, configure and maintain data servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security, & analyze/solve and correct issues in real time.

 

Skill Set:

 

· 5-10 years of DB Administration experience

· Oracle R12 experience

· Strong Linux background

· Oracle server internals & processes

· Oracle performance tuning & production environments

· Time Series Database solutions implementation experience

· Oracle Cluster File System (OCFS) & Automatic Storage Management (ASM)

· Oracle Data Guard

· SAN, NAS technology

· Disaster recovery set up & execution

· Experience configuring, implementing, & performance tuning multiple Oracle 10g and 11g instances per machine

· Oracle recovery manager (RMAN), RAC and ASM features
