Over the weeks, we have been receiving a lot of queries about the
Google Online Marketing Challenge and are doing our best to answer
them at the earliest.

We have a compiled a list of the most common questions that our
participants and professors ask and provided the answers below:

1) 200$ CREDIT NOT RECEIVED

We had a technical issue because of which accounts were not getting
credited recently. However, we are glad to inform you that the matter
has been resolved and if you check your AdWords account, you should be
able to see the $200 credit now. In case, you are unable to see the
credit as yet, please wait for the next seven business days to ensure
that the credit is reflected after you have ensured the following:

a) Your account has been set up in USD only and not in any other
currency.
In case, you have set up your account with a different currency,
please create a new account in USD with a different email address and
upload the same on the student dashboard. We will credit the account
accordingly.

b) Your account does not have any billing information entered. If yes,
follow the steps mentioned in point (a)

c) Your account is not linked to a My Client Center account. If, yes,
please unlink the account and update the Customer ID of your AdWords
account in the student dashboard once again and we will credit the
account.

In case, all of the criteria is met and the account has still not been
credited after seven days, please write to us at
onlinec...@google.com and we will be glad to check it up for you.

2) VERIFICATION EMAIL NOT RECEIVED BY PROFESSOR

Our system automatically sends an email to the professor once they
have signed up for the Online Challenge in the student dashboard. In
case, your professor has not received the email, it may be possible
that the email has been blocked by the spam settings of your
professor's email provider.

Please ask your professor to check their spam folders for the email.
If they are still unable to locate the verification email, please ask
them to write to us at onlinec...@google.com with the following
information:

a) Email address of your professor
b) Email address of the team
c) Confirmation that the professor authorizes this team to participate
in the 2011 Online Marketing hallenge.

3) QUESTION ABOUT GOOGLE ADWORDS

While we have attempted to answer some of the most commonly asked
questions in the student guide (https://docs.google.com/a/google.com/
viewer?url=http://www.google.com/onlinechallenge/files/
student_guide.pdf&pli=1),
we do understand that you may have some more questions which may not
have been answered in this guide. For such questions, the AdWords Help
Center would be your best resource. You can visit the AdWords Help
Center here: http://adwords.google.com/support/aw/?hl=en

4) VOUCHER FOR PROFESSORS

In order for professors to obtain an AdWords voucher, you need to
create an AdWords account at www.adwords.google.com and enter billing
information. Once you have entered the billing information, please
write to us and we will provide you with the promotional code.

Note that an activation charge might be charged. To know the amount of
the activation fee, please visit https://adwords.google.com/select/AfpoFinder

Once the promotional credit has been exhausted or has expired, your
campaigns will continue to accrue costs for which you'll be billed. If
you don't want to accrue costs in excess of your promotional credit
amount, pause your campaigns at any point to stop advertising
activity.

If you have additional questions, please write back to us at
onlincec...@google.com

Sincerely,

The Google Online Marketing Challenge Team
