Introduction: Sharon Greenfield

Hello all -

I just joined the group, and I wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Sharon (or as some of you know me @SharonG), and I'm been
an active online community manager for several groups since 1996. I've
been managing an IRC group via IRC and through other various social
media entities for over 10 years.

Professionally, I've worn the community manager hat when I managed
basketball fantasy groups at ESPN where I was a technical producer, as
a web producer relating online with customers at Danner Boots, and as
a developer relations coordinator at Intel.

My education started out in journalism, but as I became more
interested in online communication and relationships, I went into
Social Psychology. I call this actually going to school for online
community management, since this academic discipline is specifically
about individuals relating in groups.

I'd love to come to the next meeting and chat with everyone, and share
common perceptions, ideas, case studies. I look forward to being
engaged in this group.
