a category system is necessary when dealing with such a large number
of documentaries you have now. however the category system that is
currently adopted is not the best. May I suggest another way of
organizing the documentaries.

Using a system like the one that is used to catalog the date each
individual documentary is posted. The system is good because it allows
the browsing of categories, the existence of subcategories, locating
individual documentaries, all without navigating away from the video.
This, to me, is by far the superior system.

Much of the existing categories would be better served if they will
subcategories in larger categories. By this i mean that biology,
evolution, and astronomy can both be subcategories of the category
science. Religion, politics and activism can all fall under sociology.
this category, and subcategory would be possible simply using the
system that is currently used for dates.

I don't really know how difficult this is to accomplish. So there is
no pressure, but I definitely think it would be an improvement.

I totally agree with you about the current catagory format not being
the best. Unfortunately, I am restricted in my options for a catagory
menu with my current hosting arrangement. There are, however, a few
alternative 3rd party gadgets available and I am currently assessing
their suitability.

I also agree with your remarks about sub-catagories. This is something
I will be trying to achieve when I go with an alternative to the
current catagory gadget.
