Well, I will kick things off for this thread.

I am Scott - OD4U Webmaster. I am a 38 year old guy from Perth,
Western Australia. I am married to my best friend in the world and
have 3 beautiful kids. I work as a BDM for a radio technology
communication company...a small company (75 employees), but one that
is becoming very successful. My goal is to be a branch GM or MD of the
whole group within the next 5 years.

Being involved in the communications engineering industry, I have a
strong interest in technology and science in general. I am not,
however, an engineer. I did a triple major at university -
Anthropology, Asian Studies and Chinese Language...I did an honors
year and wrote a dissertation on the political and social legitimacy
of the Chinese Communist Party. Pretty boring stuff, but I did get to
work with the Chinese ambassador to Australia.

I am living in Perth at the moment, but have spent 4 out of the last 6
years living and working in China. I am fairly fluent in Mandarin, but
not as fluent as you would expect someone that has a BA in Chinese!

I run OD4U as a non-profit site because I am so passionate about
lifelong learning and wanted to share my penchant for watching
documentaries online with the world. The site is now 11 months old and
we have about 2,000 unique visitors a day.

Anyways, thats enough about me...

Looks like I'm first! Yippy-skippy.

Well, my name is Kyle. I'm a about to turn 23. I live in the US. I
took a long break after high school, but now I am in college and I am
working towards my English degree so that I can teach English abroad.
I love to travel (I have been to Spain and Netherlands, and I'm going
to New York in a month) and learning about other cultures and
languages. I know a little Spanish, pero me espanol es no bueno ;)

I discover the OD4U website one day a few months back while looking
for a documentary about Earth's magnetic field. I was writing a paper
on that subject for my Geology class. I have been in love with the
site ever since. I am currently watching the 8 part documentary series
about the history of the English language. Great site Scott!

Oh, I forgot. One more thing... I love football/soccer! I know what
you're thinking: Any American that likes football?!?!? Well yes, it's
true. There are a few of us out there ;) My team that I support is
Valencia CF of Spain and the United States National Team. Us yanks
aren't so bad once you get to know us...

Hi all,
My name is Yeung Xiao and i am Canadian, I found his site really
really early, and i have learned so much from the docs here. I am a 22
year old university student. My main field of interest is sociology
and religion. I am a Marxist, and a devoted atheist. I consider myself
an defensive anti-theist. I look foreword to getting to know you guys
better.
Football/ soccer sucks. Rugby and Hockey is better. and baseball and
golf is not sport.

To post I click Reply? I'm Simmons- Sean, from Timmins Canada. Is
this forum accessable to everyone from the internet? ...to read..or
just us, the members, I'm just curious. I'm 38 obsessed with
astronomy, recently have taken up woodworking and hooked on learning
anything (almost). I don't like ,greed, fashion, hunting, self
righteous people. ....just snowed a foot.....wheres spring!!! The
accessability to the forum is why I was leary on my email, thats all.
