I thought I would start a discussion about this Nancy incident. I
think her comments have been rubbing me the wrong way for a while. I
believe she used the name Nancy's Panties a few times.

First of all, I guess you can use any name you like, but I think
'Nancy's Panties' is in really bad taste.
Now with that out of the way, I do see Moom man's point about
expressing one's opinion and views on subjects, but being specific
now, Nancy made several comments that went something like this

'I want to see docs on women who seduce men..mailman, something
like that. I mean, is she joking, serious.. what? I responded a few
times but nothing in return.

I recall a while back someone commented in the chat box, and it was
pretty rude, offending words, I forget, but in any case, Scott
responded stating 'BEING CIVIL" is required, and I remember also,
this forum has a requirement that members 'KEEP IT CIVILIZED" I
believe.

That said, I think Scott made the right decision and I'm glad there
are civilized requirements here. Maybe I'm being bias, but I've been
to youtube and watched some stuff there and I can't believe some of
the things people say about and to each other. I would be disappointed
if those type of comments started on the OD4U chat box and forum. Keep
on keepin it civil Scott!!

Thanks for your input and support Sean. The porn orientated comments
by Nancy were kinda stupid and farily innocent until "she" posted a
link to a porn site on one of them. As for not posting anything racist
- she at one point asked to see a documentary about the"black" missing
link...it is called Nigga-saurus...she said!

What baffles me is that someone would waste their time constantly
coming back to a website to post such rubbish...even though said
comments were dutifully being delated each time.

...then, the sheer audacity to claim that she had done nothing wrong.
This last one was probably because she thought she had an ally in Moon-
man.

Moon-man, by the way has been a constant contributer to OD4U and very
welcome in the past. I haven't had time to review his last chat box
posts, but I would be very dissapointed if he had taken my actions the
wrong way.

In summary...

* NO - we are NOT dictators here at OD4U. Rather the opposite is true
because I would like to see more visitor participation, but people
have lives I suppose.

* There are many younger people, teachers, students and even families
that visit our site...let's keep it clean and save the offensive stuff
for YouTube.

Finally, get into this forum! This is YOUR chance to have YOUR say on
topics that matter to you...in what I hope is an intelligent
environment.

Thinking about what Moom man said, about being angry and offended by
peoples behavior. I was reminisceing about an incident a month back
in where I was constantly being offended each time a certain
commercial aired on televison, a nintendo ds commercial with two teens
degrading and bullying each other. Initially I assumed I was powerless
and tried to put up with it. I eventually thought of using the CRTC in
my benefit instead of butting heads with them constantly.(Canadian
Radio Telecommunications Comminsion) I filled out a form and submit it
online, within 24 hours I had a response from a human and they
forwarded my complaint to the ASC, Advertising Standards Canada they
reviewed my legitimate complaint and in turn requested Nintendo to
simlpy reply to my concerns and if I'm not happy, I can have a board
review it.

Although the outcome of the situation is unknown, the large company
will actually hear my concerns and although it may be coincidental, I
have not seen the commercial aired since shortly after my complaint
was submitted. Will keep the forum updated of the final result.

Scott, I like the way you handled Nancy. I think she might even feel
bad, hence being dillusional and trying to twist what she said. Its
nice to be able to laugh and make humour with the situation.
