Five Dead in Kenya's Mayfair Casino Car Park

Five people were killed in a shoot-out between police and robbers in a
Kenyan hotel parking lot yesterday. Dead are three suspects and two
workers employed by the casino.

In a police chase after the suspects who tried to rob the Mayfair
Casino where the shootout started. Myfair Casino shares the car park
with the Holiday Inn.

Paul Norman, general manager of the Holiday Inn, said: “We were very
lucky there were not many guests around.” The hotel’s security service
had immediately put up safety gates to prevent anyone from entering.

This incident involving the Mayfair Casino adds to the overall violent
crime in the Kenyan capital.
