We'll be at the PORTAGE LAKE UNITED CHURCH at 5:30pm on THURSDAY NOVEMBER 27TH. The church is across the street from the Administration
Building - easy walking distance from campus for those who don't have cars.
PLEASE RSVP BY FRIDAY NOVEMBER 21ST (EARLIER is better!) so we know how many places to set. You could instead come and 'take away' some food if that is better for you - just let me know.
We also need help setting up tables on WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 26TH - time to be determined, but probably at 7pm. We also need help on THURSDAY NOVEMBER 27TH at 3pm (before the dinner) to put out the food and we need additional folks to help after the dinner to clean up.
Let us know if you'd be willing to help and for which tasks.
NO need to respond if you can't attend, but we'll miss you!
There is parking at the church and more parking on campus, at the bank and at the Canterbury House
- the yellow house across the highway from the parking lot next to
Michigan Tech's Admin Building.
There is NO NEED to bring anything but if you just can't help yourself, we could use a few desserts as we won't provide any.
If you want to bring some other dish to share, that is fine too.
Please label your dish with the name of the dish and whether it is vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, etc. If you put the label on cardstock that you can fold
in half and set near the dish, that would be grand. Also bring your offering in a serving dish (perhaps label the serving dish with your
name so you get it back!) If you make a 'hot' side and it would fare well in a crockpot and you can bring it in a crockpot, that would be
very helpful in keeping things warm. There are two microwaves, an oven and a stove top if you need that.
PLEASE RSVP if you're able to come and let me know if you want to bring something - not everyone needs to bring a dish. HOWEVER, for those who
just can't stand not bringing something, I'd ask that you be willing to make 'lots' as we hope many will attend.
We really want folks to join us for Thanksgiving to give us all a chance to gather and celebrate together - that will be very joyous for us.
In appreciation of your friendship,
Nancy & Dianne
