Hello Fellow Yogis!
I wanted to take a moment to update/clarify a few things. You may have received email with some of this previously, or you may already just know much of this. But I’m hoping to have some of our more recent updates all in one place.
First of all I’d like to say it is an honor to get to work with such a dedicated team! As I’ve made my transition into my new role with ONE Yoga, one thing I’ve noticed is how important our cleaning role really is. Students notice and comment regularly on how clean the studio is, THANK YOU!! I also want to make sure you each have my cell phone number 303-667-8246. In the past few weeks I’ve noticed a few things that could use some clarification. I hope this helps!
- There has been a little confusion about where the trash and recycling goes after you’ve collected it for the studio. Our trash bin is the big trash compacter just South of Which Witch if it’s closed and locked just turn the little “key”, you’ll hear it run a short cycle then the door can be opened. The recycling bin is behind it in the gated area, you’ll see big green bins in there.
- Management has begun doing a Studio 360 several times a day, so when you come into your shift please double check the white board in the cleaner’s room, as there may be a note with something that needs a little extra attention. Please put your initials beside any notes you get to during your shift. The white board is a great way to communicate supply needs for the studio too. Thank you all, for doing that so efficiently.
- We have moved the lost and found to a basket in the storage closet, you’ll see it on the floor on the right side, under the shelving.
- Sherif has asked us to start leaving the door to studio 2 open. It really is a pretty room and it has a great view of the park! J
- Your shift time is your shift. These 2.5 hour shifts have been set up with great care and strategy, in an effort to have the studios cleaned between classes. As a reminder here are the times we are expecting cleaners:
Monday AM – 11a – 1:30p PM 7:30p – 10p
Tuesday AM 9:30a – 12p PM 7p – 9:30p
Wednesday AM 11a – 1:30p PM 7p – 9:30p
Thursday AM 9:15a – 11:45a PM 7p – 9:30p
Friday AM 11a – 1:30p PM 7:30p – 10p
Saturday AM 9:30a – 12p PM 1:30 – 4p
Sunday AM 10a – 12:30p PM 7:30 – 10p
(We do know that many of you strategize your shift so you can take a class and that is fine as long as you take that class.)
If you complete the basic duties for your shift early, make sure you work on some of the special projects to ensure you’re here for the entirety of your 2.5 hour shift, such as cleaning blocks, vacuuming the bolsters, refolding blankets, cleaning the drinking fountain, cleaning window sills, etc. And if you really can’t find things to do, come and find me or another manager and I’m sure we can find something for you. J
- Our clock-in/clock-out policy. If a cleaning master doesn't clock in for 3 shifts (that they are at) we will have to terminate the cleaning contract. Management checks hours for all “Yoga for Trade” participants and it’s the only way to know each month if you qualify for free yoga. It is crucial that you clock in and out for every shift. If you have any questions about this please contact me.
- Our Sub Policy. If for some reason you cannot clean on your scheduled day, then please arrange coverage of your shift prior to your absence. If you are unable to find coverage, please contact your cleaning manager. DO NOT leave a voice mail on the studio answering machine. If you miss your scheduled cleaning shift without arranging for shift coverage and/or without making prior arrangements with management, then ONE reserves the right to immediately terminate the Agreement.
- Moving forward your discount on workshops etc is only good until the Early Bird deadline. Make sure you are taking full advantage of your discounts, it really is a great deal!
I will be out of town with limited cell service from 7/6 – 7/13, so Sherif will be your contact person if anything comes up.
So, this is A LOT of information especially before a holiday weekend, but hopefully it helps! Please send me a quick note letting me know you read this and of course if you have questions about anything at all, give me a call or send me an email at car...@oneyogadenver.com
Thank you so much!
Have a wonderful weekend!
In love and light,
Carole
