3 Thunderbolt 3 Software Installation
IMPORTANT EB3T-V3-eGPU requires no driver on Apple Mac Operating System and Windows OS and 10.
3.1 Configuring Windows for Thunderbolt This is only applicable for Windows PC. You need to install software, firmware and updates. 1. Make sure the Windows PC is up to date with Windows 10 updates installed (to avoid problems with performance and compatibility).
2. Install the latest Thunderbolt 3 software from your computer manufacturer. Windows computers equipped with Thunderbolt 3 will not ship with the necessary updates required for full Thunderbolt 3 functionality. We recommend installing the latest available Thunderbolt 3 updates from computer manufacturer. This includes updates to Thunderbolt 3 firmware, Thunderbolt 3 chipset drivers, and/or BIOS updates to enable Thunderbolt 3 functionality.
3. Latest Thunderbolt Software is installed. Install the current Intel Thunderbolt Software. Check your laptop first, see if the Thunderbolt Software is installed or not. Go to Control Panel>> Go to Programs and Features and look for Thunderbolt Software. • It is strongly recommend obtaining the Thunderbolt Software from the manufacturer of Laptop. Or you can visit Intel website : https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23742/Thunderbolt-Intel-Thunderbolt-driver
