Product: HIB38-x16 and EB3T-V3-EGPU
Question:
Can I use the HIB38-x16 card with the EB3T-V3-EGPU expansion unit?
Answer:
The HIB36-x16 card is not compatible with the EB3T-V3-eGPU backplane. The HIB36-x16 is unable establish a link between host and expansion unit.
Solution:
You can use a different model of adapter card, the 01-05018-00 (x16 Gen2), this worked perfectly with the EB3T-V3-eGPU backplane.

The HIB38-x16 has a PCIe switch, not compatible with the EB3T-V3-eGPU backplane.
The 01-05018-00 (x16 Gen2), has redriver and it is compatible with the EB3T-V3-eGPU backplane.
