You can force power ON the OSS 457 board.  This will help you determine whether the board is functioning properly.  You need the following items to perform this task.

  1. Standard ATX power supply with 24pin ATX power  cable/connector  and with 8-pin 12v power cable/connector.
  2. Jumper or shunt ( not provided by One Stop Systems).

 Steps

  1. Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector to J5 (on the OSS 457 board).
  2. Connect the 8pin 12v power connector from power supply to J4 (on the OSS 457 board).
  3. Place a jumper or shunt on J1 (PS ON).

Connect the power supply 24-pin ATX power cable to  J5.

Connect the 8-pin 12v power connector from power supply to J4 .

Plug in the jumper / shunt to J1 (PS-ON)

Note: The jumper or shunt is NOT provided with the unit.  One Stop Systems does not sell the jumper  or shunt.  You can buy this from any online electronic stores.
