How to power ON the EB16 smart unit via remote Host Computer

To power ON the EB16 smart unit via remote Host Computer

1. Depress the front switch to OFF position
2. Connect the Link the cable to Host computer and EB16 unit
3. Turn the power supply switches to ON position
4. Power On the host computer
- the eb16 should power ON immediately

* When the front switch is in OFF or ON position, you won't be able to Turn OFF the chassis via the GUI

To Turn on the chassis by itself

1. Disconnect the from SNMP via Ethernet port on the back of the unit
2. Connect the Link Cable to host and expansion unit
3. Turn the power supply switch to ON position
4. Press the front switch to ON position
- there is 10-12 seconds delay before the unit will come up on standy mode ( fan will spin). At this state, the unit is not fully powered ON, it is still on power standby
5. Turn ON the host computer, the expansion unit till Turn ON (you should a a green SOLID link LEDs (4 or 5) on the interface card
6. When you shutdown the host, the expansion chassis will shutdown also.
