I would like to see this as well. I'd like to use this for Spanish AP practice audio piece. For the real thing, we will need to download the student's audio recordings and burn them to a CD to send to the AP Board for grading.

When you play a media file in the SpeedGrader it is embedded in the page using a VIDEO tag without disabling download. This means that videos and audio can be downloaded by right-clicking on the player (while it's playing). On the menu, you'll have an option to "Save video as..." that will allow you to download the media file to your computer. Note: Don't let the name of the option fool you, it will allow you to save audio files as audio files, it's just the way in which it was embedded that causes the labeling.

If you're looking to do a bulk download, that would require use of the API to retrieve multiple submissions, then scripting to archive them together, and finally initialize the download. It's doable, but it's a bit heavy on the client browser to implement. I'd highly recommend sticking to individual downloads.

I know this is an old post, but I have found a workaround to share with future searchers. There's a Chrome extension called Chrome Audio Capture. You hit a "record" button and let the audio play, and then hit a button when the audio finishes to stop and download the recording. It's time consuming since the audio has to play all the way through, but it's not recording from the computer's mic, so you can keep working. I had one student out of 40 submit a media recording (there were other options), so if it's only a selection of student work that I want to save for posterity, it's worth my time. I was not able to right-click and save the audio despite my best efforts.

THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!! It works perfectly! Now if I could help you... In our district the Record Media option refuses to work on our campuses, but works fine on the same computer at admin. So that tells me that our firewall is blocking something that the record media option needs (I get a "Connection error. Please try again later") Maybe your firewall is blocking something that the Record Media needs?

I made a little video that shows that the microphone is working and I've allowed everything in adobe flash, yet I still get the connection error. As soon as I took the laptop back to my office in admin the record media option worked flawlessly. I didn't even restart my laptop.

Thanks for the suggestion, however that's not the issue I'm getting. It keeps cycling to the prompt asking me to allow it to use the microphone/camera and I do have administrative rights, so that shouldn't be causing such problems. It blame the use of Flash when most major browsers no longer support it. Regardless, it's not a major concern for me as I have no normal need to use the functionality.

There are lots of audio downloaders available on the market, but only a few supports extracting audio from multiple music websites. In this case, this post offers you 4 commonly-used ways to download audio from websites.

To make it easier for you, I made a chrome extension named audiotts. Just click SPEAK IT button and waiting the audio player come in. You can download the audio using download menu of the audio player.

Hello, I always download mp3 files inside webs using "Save as" and ".mp3" method. Sometimes I had to explicitly save filename with ".mp3" extension to force audio download. However trying to download an audio no matter what format I write in file always download only webpage as .html never as .mp3.Looking at sourcecode (image attached) I found a detail containing "chrome" in webpage. Later, I tried downloading with Chromium at it worked properly.Does anyone know how to download this from Firefox?

Trying to rip the sound from YouTube videos can be a hassle, especially when many of the sites that claim to do it are slow or full of ads. Fortunately, you can use a YouTube audio downloader extension to get the job done right.

This YouTube Downloader extension for Microsoft Edge is the perfect tool for quickly downloading YouTube video and audio. All you have to do is follow the one-click installation on the official Edge Add-Ons site. Then, whenever you browse to YouTube a new orange download link is displayed under every video.

Because a file conversion must take place, it will take a few minutes, but the extension gives a convenient estimation before downloading. I found it to actually be faster than the estimate, which is a good sign.

Unfortunately, because Chrome and YouTube are owned by Google, it does not officially support extensions to rip audio or video from YouTube. However, there are some workarounds, such as sideloading the extension or using a middle-man extension like Foxified, which helps use Firefox extensions in Chrome.

You may receive a warning saying you must install software called Flixmate to download the entire song, but as best we can tell, this is just an advert. The extension worked perfectly without doing this on songs of many different lengths.

Similar to Foxified, to get ClipConverter on Chrome you need to bridge the gap with the Tampermonkey extension. Once installed, download ClipConverter from the same page and it can be sideloaded into Chrome.

When you open the browser of your choice and copy a link from YouTube, ByClick Downloader detects the action automatically and it opens a pop-up asking you if you want to download the clip or the audio file on your PC.

The extension will automatically open when you browse YouTube and leave a green Download As button where you can make your choice. Obviously for audio, you want to choose either MP3 256Kbps or 126Kbps.

Without having to configure any settings, go to YouTube and a green download button will appear next to the subscribe button. Clicking this opens video and audio tabs. Click audio to find MP3 and Webm formats in all available qualities.
