This is a painting of the The Bridge of Sighs in Venice. It is an enclosed bridge made with white limestone. It crosses the Rio di Palazzo and connects the Old Prisons to the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace. It was designed by Antoni Contino and built in 1602. Antoni's uncle designed the Rialto Bridge, probably the most famous bridge in Venice.
The view from the Bridge of Sighs was the last view of Venice that transported convicts would see before their execution or imprisonment.
This painting is roughly 10x16 and was done with Acrylic on Illustration Board.
