please check the enclosure for simplistic drawings...

thought about what could happen inside the dome.
as Thomas mentioned lights, and as me & Natelie where talking about it yesterday,
thought that this could be the answer to our problem.

a light-painting.
each light (line of nice looking light) is attached to bicycle.
light response to bike (more engery means more light)

due to this, what happens on the outside affects people on the inside, plus this is a constant change, so very personal experience!!

as certain bikes get cycled on, some not, some harder than others, the lights are affected by this and constantely alters.
(so no experience is the same, as people go slower, stop cycling, new people start cycling, go really fast, some hardly etc etc)

as the lights are part of the building, they are not just placed upon the walls, but nicely infiltrated, therefore one cannot see a circuit line when it is not being used.

lights are mixed/matched, so more an organic vorm rather than a straight circle thing.

so what basically happens on the inside is a light painting, created (and recreated) by the efforts of people on the outside, for people to people, as a working collective providing one an unique experience!!!!!

This worth of discussing?

Hello everyone,

Attached you'll find a rough version of a suggested structure for our presentation. Natalie and I are gonna work over the weekend to strip it down and make it as clear and easy to go through as possible. Again, this is just a guide so you can have an idea of what we discussed this morning.

Stay in touch.

G.

looks really good!
good point in the end as well.

If everybody agrees with this, please sent me a copy of the characters used in lulu's sotryboard as soon as possible. (every character, prop, etc please on their own page. preferable with no background colours. Either in JPEG or TIFF. filmratio is 720x576 (square pixels, 1.0, progressive, 25fps).

Please sent this as i then can do some 2morrow and sent a test version to you guys/online on blog. So that people can give input on what they wanna are seeing. so i know if i'm on the right track (or not o_O')

Hi all

just remember very clearly Sophie Walter mentioned "people have done animations, the performance is different".

Hi lulu,

It was also mentioned that the performance was confusing, the message not clear, quite messy and even someone in the jury stated to feel scared in the middle of our play. We're not performers not actors, most of the people in our group are really busy with work and won't have the chance to rehearse it properly to deliver it the way it should be. Therefore, most of us (the seven of us who met yesterday) don't feel quite confortable with the idea of performing under those circumstances and see the animation as an alternative to tell the story of George... is what we think would be better for the presentation as a whole and we consider it still may be fun.

On the other hand, we now have what we feel is a strong concept for the inside of the dome, which was something we kind of felt was missing when we presented the first time...eventually that led us to consider something extra, like the play, to enhance our presentation. Now we have a tight idea and that should be the core aspect of our presentation. Natalie and I will be working on a structure for it (based on what we discussed yesterday - see the email I sent last night for some notions about it) and we will share it with the group as soon as we have completed it to hear opinions and suggestions on how to improve it so everyone feels comfortable with the content.

Hope this make sense.

Best,

G.

thanks for sorting that.,look forward to seeing the printed thing..yeh let me know about costs!
I think we're heading in the best direction with the new ideas for the inside of the dome, and also agree that we should listen to their feedback about the performance - it could work great if we had more time but the most important thing is getting our idea across, which sadly it failed to do, it seemed from what they said. I think we will still have a good presentation, esp with the bike on stage (any news on whether we've secured that bike yet?) and our idea is stronger.
All sounds good, well done everyone. Will go and do some work now!
Nat :) xx

Hi Jane,
I have no website at the moment so it's gonna be a bit amateurish but what the hell, here's anyways:

Gus Guerrero
Writer / Radio host + producer

Thanks.

Regarding the bike, the one we liked was already gone when we contacted the guy. We need to look for another one as quick as we can so we can actually sort out how to include it in our presentation.

Keep in touch,

G.

PS: Nat, please send me texts we talk about yesterday :)
