animation

Hello everybody,

 

after spending some time in a curtain closed room, 3 harry potters films, 1 pringles pack, 3 red bulls, a few breaks, probably gained 2kg, I hereby would like to introduce you to: George!

 

with the following link one can watch the animation of George.

tried to follow Lulu's Storyboard as much as possible, please let me know what you think, would like to alter, etc.

 

looking forward recieving sounds for the timing! (some shots might look too long/short, but need vocals to time george's story correctly)

also thought that perhaps we need folio sounds (footsteps, smoking, etc. maybe funny to give the 'ninja's the 'hup hup hup' of the swat team when they pass by)

 

don't know precisely if every shot is necassery (don't know if some is being told).

for example: the shot of 'selflessness - the way out of the doom' - is it needed to be written out on screen or is vocal also enough..??

(yes, i did left out the sign - digital presentation - as that should be obvious...)

Hi Dominique,

That works really well! The only thing I can comment on is the 'selflessness - the way out of doom' caption'. We may not need it, but if we do, we need to use a type style that is more readable and fits in with the rest of the animation I think.

Thanks for all the good work. You could always power the dome to offset the snacks!

Hey, no luck on the bikes! :( The really nice one we saw was already sold when we contacted the guy... we need to keep looking, I'm afraid.

Hi i know, took them directly from the storyboard. Thought lulu had something planned with lights and then text becoming visible if light shines on it?? But while doing, i just thought that text could also just be spoken... Didn't see the point of having that animated, in a way....

you did a killer job, amazingly fast and fantastic quality, 

-could you please change the Nokia phone into a iphone?

-maybe george bike part happens later because the logic is not though yet, sorry for that.

i will figure out something asap, 

-George's umbrella  can be out once it opens, then other umbrellas open one by one...to suggest a camera movement on the road, to suggest George is not alone. it's the general mood.

-gus, olly, let's go iron the narration and  voice over again, 

-there is Chinese artist as done a real google map on the floor, that people could walk on the earth like real, Thomas you know what i am talking about, this is just an idea if we havnt decided on nything concrete. - as as i mentioned before, based on Dom's sketch, the web of lines could be the traffic, road of actually data of London which is more relevant i reckon.

Hi Lulu, 

Could you please sort out the script for the narration with Olly? I don't know what's exactly wrong with the narration as it is now... I thought it was ok because that's the one we used on the first presentation... but anyways, as you and Oliver are more familiar with it because you worked on it first, maybe is better if you do the minor changes you think it requires and send it over to Ed so he can record it and pass it to Dom for animation purposes. 

On the other hand, I don't quite understand the Google Maps and roads things... is that for the inside of the dome? Because on friday, the 7 of us who met at RFH agreed to try out a new creative way for the dome, which Oliver explained and shared with the group in an email he sent on friday for everyone to know about it and discuss... most of the people agreed. Natalie and I even include it on the presentration structure we sent yesterday... 

Have you read those emails?

This could be late in the day, but i was reminded when seeing the related youtubes... Our George is George Costanza no? Nothing goes right for him! Ha! 

I'm against all "it's me"s. So self-absorbed and egotistical. It's like these hip musicians with their complicated shoes! -george...

It could be funny if we gave george a voice... but then the 1940s social awereness/commerical things sounds really great!

Could we confirm when we are next meeting to plan?
