Hi.
I would love it if you could change the PDF preview behavior to resize 1 entire page to fit in the preview window.
My use case is usually to Identify if the PDF file I am previewing is the one that I want to open, so being able to see 1 page makes it easier to decide, as well as making it easier to scroll multiple pages to see later ones.
The current default of fitting width was not too bad in V-2 where the preview pane was on one window, but now when it is the full width of the screen most PDF files only show about a 3rd of a page when being previewed.

I know this is on your Trello list - https://trello.com/c/zjIfMN0k

I was hoping you could bump it up a bit.

You've built a great program, I love using it and introducing it to new people.

I'll check how easy it is to add, as at this time I just want all bugfixes done and easy things so I can release the official version, and then work on the improvements.
Thanks for spreading the word!

Thanks!

I just noticed that if I change pages in the preview it automatically fits them vertically, only the initial view is zoomed to fit horizontally.
Since it already does that on pages beyond the initial one, it may be easier to implement as the initial view.
So for now my workaround is to quickly hit the right and left arrow keys and I can see the page fit vertically.

I do understand the bug fixes come first though, and thanks for making the available for free as it is!

Milos,

I would greatly appreciate if the preview would optionally be able to behave as in V2, where the preview would show up in the opposite pane instead of a pop up window

Sorry but it is not possible anymore as everything now is a separate pane, instead of being spaghettis connected like in V2

Mmmm, it should not be so difficult to move an object to a different position in the general application frame, maybe as a temporary overlay... just guessing... no

It doesn't work like that. Objects shouldn't know anything about any other object

Hi Milos,

I'm following up on this request to have the preview fit the full page of the PDF inside the preview window and not zoom in to the width, leaving only half a page viewable at a time.

I still use OC every day and am so grateful you've made and continue to maintain the program!

for now I can resize the preview window so that it is the same shape as a 8.5*11 and that seems to work as it will show a full page of the document

Hi Schneur,

Is the toggle in the top-left of the preview not already doing this for you? When it is ON it should show the full page no matter the window or page size.
