Hi OneCommannder peeps,

So many things to love about OneCommander, but a few things I really miss from FExplorer

1/  ability to easily resize columns
2/ ability to easily add or remove columns from view
3/ lines between columns and instead of up down arrows, a toggle sort order. MUCH easier to click on quickly
4/ buttons for copy/cut/paste
THANKS.

Thanks for feedback.
1. The columns won't be possible to resize as OC doesn't use grid view, but in v4 the name column will be resizeable - I can't think of a reason why other columns would be resizeable - those are measured to fit content.
2.  You can switch to other views that have additional metadata in second row and already shows everything available - let me know if you are missing any metadata and for which filetype
3. There will be option for buttons, but likely not aligned to columns since many languages have really long names for those and there would be some ugly cropping. Liktely something like it was 11 years ago http://bit-commander.com/GIF/bit-commander-thumbnails-and-file-details.png
4. Button toolbar will be optinal setting in v4

Hi, thanks for the response.
and some thoughts about what you said...
1/ Name column is definitely most commonly resized one, but PATH would be good to have, especially as a search result... not being able to see the whole path and sort by the path, does reduce the usefulness of doing a search.
2/ the switching of views as an alternative is very clunky and ineffective. If you have some basic views you like to switch between, then they are useful, but often I want to add a single value, like Dimension or Duration or bit depth or... etc! and these would not be things I would typically have in a folder of general documents, for example, and there is no way I could have dozens of  views and remember what they are all for, what columns they include or not... so it's much more flexible, faster, easier to simply tick what you need, and be done. And IDEALLY that particular folder would "know" what columns you had opted to see last time and would offer them again.  This would be GREAT.
3/ I had a look at the png but can't see buttons on top of the columns, or any buttons that relate to columns. In any case, the length of the column name should make no difference. The whole column /name is the button! When you click on it you simply toggle sort order. This seems very fast, intuitive to me.
4/ great. I look forwards to v4
Thanks,
Mark

1. The path is already resizeable in Search. That will stay but might look slightly different

2. I'll have to disappoint on the columns, at least until most other higher prority features are there, which could be years. It's either showing all metadata in this view

Or most relevant metadata per file type, like the resolution shown for images

3. In this screenshot the sorting was on bottom with just sorting labels as toggles. I'll need to think about the toggle way for the entire "columns" as it makes sense with names but not when buttons are already there

another vote here for toggle column order button rather than arrows -they are fiddly
and yes being able to add columns like explorer would be awesome. sometimes being able to throw in the date created or file attribute is necessary
