Morning Milos.  It seems that setting teracopy as the default work to capture drag & drop events, but not cut & paste inside onecommander.  Can you confirm if this is expected function?

thanks!

hmm strange.... i'm only able to do the other way around
copy/cut/paste triggers teracopy but not drag and drop.

Teracopy according to changelog is a pro feature... But till v3.4.12 was possible to choose what file handler to use

The Paste function is sent directly to the Windows, so it will do use whichever handler it is registered. You can set from TeraCopy to "Use TeraCopy as a default copy handler" and it will work also for pasting from OC.
It is not a bug, but it just not implemented to explicitly take over the paste command also. It is only inconsistent if TeraCopy is not a default handler also in Explorer. Please let me know if it works as expeceted if tick that checkbox in TeraCopy.

It is kind of a Pro feature. I am asking myself for everything: Would my father need this, or my wife, or brother in law, and a few other close people who are also just casual computer users, and if they would not use that feature or even know what that is, then it is probably an advanced feature, and they would still have a fully functional program even without it.

Weird.  I own both Teracopy and OneCommander Pro licenses and both are set to use Teracopy as the default handler, with the above results.  Re-checked the settings for each this morning...and OneCommander is set as the default (in registry using advanced OC setting) but not as default for Win+E.  Will keep playing with config settings to see if I can figure out a pattern, I guess?

Not that I absolutely need teracopy... only thing I actually use is the "new folder with selection" > could be a OC feature

but as I said before... for me, copy/paste works fine > triggers teracopy handler (confirmation popup > turned on)
drag and drop goes directly to win explorer handler

on win explorer,  works fine both ways

guess something still missing from OC end  :)

BTW was messing around with OC drag and drop options available (not that changes anything)
and noticed that the "use old drag&drop system" option check mark doesn't stays on

On another machine (W10, desktop PC, with licensed MSstore version of OC) both drag&drop and cut/copy/paste invoke Teracopy as Milos predicted.  Must be something different on the other laptop...will have to re-check over there...the laptop has the web installed pro version, not the store version...maybe that's part of it.

Thanks all!
S.

Portable version here ... non licensed
maybe that's it... teracopy being "kinda" pro feature ??? :)

OC needs to have TeraCopy selected as default handler, but TeraCopy has to be selected also in its own settings, like this:

teracopy.png

and then both drag&drop and Copy/paste will be redirected to TeraCopy
OC doesn't need to be register as default file manager for this to work

Emanuel, "new folder with selection" is already available. Select files, and press new folder button (or Ctrl+Shift+N)
and there is a button

that's the way I have teracopy configured (guess it's like that by default) and still drag and drop doesn't invoke teracopy for whatever reason

I will have to make this more consistent, but currently it is like this:
- Settings TeraCopy in OC Settings (pro users) forces to use TeraCopy for OC Drag&Drop, and Copy to Other Pane, and Copy to Recent destination menu items regardless what is set in TeraCopy
- Paste is not managed by OC. Setting TeraCopy as Default copy handler in TeraCopy Settings will work only for OC Paste, because it is handled by Windows and not OC and therefore works regardless of what is set in OneCommander or if user has Pro license or not
PS: Emanuel, I have sent you an email yesterday to this mail address
