How do I unsave a Folder/Tab

I did something, and now every time I open the bottom window*, it opens on the same folder, rather than the last folder viewed. How do I remove this setting?

* I use the view that has two windows, one top and one bottom. I usually only have the top window open, unless I'm doing some file moving. That's when I open the bottom window.

Only bottom? In settings folder there are files tabsWINNAME1.json and  tabsWINNAME2.json, if bottom one is not saving on close it sounds like something is blocking the access to that file. Is it regular msi installer or portable?

Only bottom. Top always opens to last Folder opened. Bottom opens to last opened folder once I've used it. But when I reboot computer, it always opens to the same folder.

There are no files in the Settings folder that start with tabsW, only tabspersonal.

Normal installer, I bought direct from you.
