There are a few features that I would like to have in One Commander. I have paid for the full version. However, I am willing to pay more for this functionality.

Feature requests organized by priority:
  1. Show files in column view (Reason: currently just displays folders and I often overlook files as a result)
  2. Multiple One Commander Windows (Reason: tabs are great but I have so many folders open that I need multiple windows)
  3. Right click on One Commander icon to access favorites from Taskbar similar to Quick access in file explorer (Reason: this would give quick and easy access to favorites even if One Commander is not open)
  4. Resize (enlarge) thumbnails (Reason: when I organize photos, I like to see more detail without having to open the preview and take up the other half of the window)
Thank you for all of your work on this! I understand that maintaining a software by yourself is challenging and takes time. As a said, I would be willing to pay extra to add these features.

(Microsoft Store, version 2.5.8.0 (64 bit), Windows 10)

I have a new feature that would be good to see. Rather than continuing to create new threads, I thought I would put any more thoughts in here. I think this is actually more of a problem than a feature request though.

The program does not seem able to copy over system files. It has said access denied on multiple files I have tried to copy. When I tried to copy them with windows, it kept asking permission as it was a system file. I imagine this may happen also with other similar files such as ones that need authorisation from a 'system administrator" for example. Is there a way One Commander can interface with windows in such a way that permissions can either be granted through the program or windows can be caused to pop up it's own dialog allowing the user to give One Commander the permissions it needs to copy the files, and ideally all other such files for the duration of the operation without having to be re-asked. I can't see how there is any way to copy over these system files otherwise unless i'm missing something or there is some work-around?

Thanks

Thanks for the supports and ideas!
  1. The navigation columns are just a replacement for tree view of File Explorer which also does not show files, so it was meant for navigation only, but I see that if will be useful for also getting files. Listing files in columns is easier than the rest, but there is a problem those items react on click. If one clicks a folder in a parent column, program would open it and not select it, but the files would be selected, but if one clicks a folder in current folder, it selects the folder, so that would be inconsistent. I'd also have to see how much it would affect performance, as when you open folder 5 folders deep, it would have to list content of all 5 folders.
  2. The problem with multiple instances would be that one would overwrite settings of the other instance. Windows within the same instance may be easier, but it would require a large rewrite, so I'll consider it when new framework comes out.
  3. I'll look into jump lists from taskbar
  4. Thumbnails - This is probably for v3. Right now element positions are hardcoded because of performance issues, so every bit of customization adds to to the layout drawing time. I have to figure out a different way for this, and then it will be possible to change size without performance penalty.
  5. The store version cannot be started as Administrator as far as I know. There might be a way to do the prompting and I'll look into that for new update.
Thanks

Can we hope that in the future it will be possible to create duplicate folders?

I'm strongly for thumbnail resizing as I frequently use the Ctrl-mousewheel function to zoom between detail view all the way to the largest thumbnail size in the default windows explorer.
As an image editor I tend to need to keep a certain number of images per row depending on the task I'm doing to keep things organized.

In v3 you will be able to make file view presets, with custom thumbnail size. I was able to make a grid view for the first tests but I have to see how performant it is first. Keep an eye on the "preview" threads or twitter videos that I release every several days, as I will post it there when there is something to show, and in case you notice some things that can be improved.
