Hello, is there a way to improve how OneCommander handles 'file in use' errors? This is the most frustrating issue I encounter with the program. For instance, when I try to delete a PDF, OneCommander appears to prevent it, probably because it's generating previews. This problem occurs frequently with PDFs and large files. I often have to wait for a few minutes or close OneCommander completely and delete the file in Windows Explorer.

I noticed yesterday that this issue also seems to affect Excel files. Even after closing the file and the application, OC would not allow me to delete the last file that I had edited as it reported that it was still in use. I opened Windows Explorer and it deleted it fine.

Is there a fix for this please?

...I should perhaps have added that I already had OC open and it was displaying the folder in which I had stored the file I was editing and wanted to delete once it was closed.

Perhaps try the refresh everything option in the top pinned sidebar menu. Or use a utility like PowerToy's What's using this file utility to see if anything is still using it in the background. Explorer might have implemented a workaround for that scenario.

Also see if you have the setting that's like use explorer to generate office previews option enabled.

I'm using exactly this utility to check files. In most cases it's OC itself that using the file.

Hmm I have working with both office and pdf files recent and have not had this problem, but I also autostart OC in Administrator mode everytime it launches, so I'm not sure if it's an elevation issue, have you tried closing the folder and reopening it and then trying to delete in oc?

I have just deleted a bunch of pdf files that I previewed in pane, in window, had thumbnails on, flipped through a few pages in preview... and I am not able to reproduce the issue. Do you have any additional information on this?
Are these files on network or in other special place?
Did you enable these (and fully restarted OC from system tray)?

The only other thing is to ensure that
"UseNewPdfViewer": "True",
in OneCommanderV3.json
This cannot be changed in settings anymore but might be still "False" if you started using it a long time ago (when it was making this exact same problem).
Otherwise I will need more information. I unfortunately have not had MS Office in a decade to test with it
