Greetings,

Is it possible to have the "Open shortcut destination" action to open the target folder in the second browser? Currently, it opens the folder in the active browser.

Also, is there a keyboard shortcut for this action, instead of right clicking? It would be a great workflow improvement if you could implement two key commands: "Open shortcut destination in Browser 1" and "Open shortcut destination in Browser 2".

Thanks!

Adding menu item to my to-do list, but considering that it will be low usage action I can't allocate shortcuts to it

The menu item sounds excellent, truly appreciate it. Being able to choose the browser for the shortcut destination and take advantage of the dual-pane layout will be huge for those of us who deal with tons of .lnk files. OneCommander kicks ass!

Thanks again

This is the main reason why I installed OneCommander, expecting I would be able to open shortcut paths in the second pane. I hope this comes soon.

May I add a suggestion, please make it so that when we open a shortcut path in the lower pane, it opens in the active tab rather than creating a new one. Managing thousands of lnk files would become impractical if each file opened a new tab.

What is the use case for thousands of lnk files lol?

Clicking on lnk already opens folder in the same tab. If you mean from outside when OC is registered as default file manager - that is not possible as OC doesn't know if you clicked on lnk or folder as it just receives folder path from windows shell. The second case is controlled by Settings>Advanced>Open Path from external source in
with options New Tab/Current tab with the same path or Current tab

I need to think about it. It can't be default action and also from architectural standpoint, one browser doesn't know about the other one

No, I'm talking about having my lnk files always visible in the UPPER pane, and opening their shortcut destination in the LOWER pane, as the OP suggests. To help you visualize this better, here's an image:

Seems like a good use case for the multi browsers, It would be great if we could choose which browser to open the destination folder. I'm happy with a right-click function like "Open shortcut destination in 2nd browser" as OP suggested. Thanks for your consideration.
