Hello,
Freecommander has this handy shortcut: when you want to mirror the active tab to the other pane, just press the "mirror" button.
I frequently need to make both panels display the same tab because sometime I need to copy some files from subfolders of the active tab to the active tab.

Example:

FREECOMMANDER:
1- open the active tab on the left panel
2- mirror the tab in the opposite panel;
3- browse the opposite file for the correct subfolder
4- do my file operations (copy, move...to the opposite panel)

ONECOMMANDER
1- open the active tab on the left panel
2- copy panel path to clipboard (1 right click, wait for menu to display, left click on copy path menu option)
3- click on path in opposite panel and paste the new path
4- press enter to make path active
5- browse the opposite file for the correct subfolder
6- do my file operations (copy, move...to the opposite panel)

Is there a way to speed up this operation in one commander?
TIA
tony

You can Alt+middle click current tab to move it to other pane, switch back focus and then press cltr+shift+t to undo close it
There's no other shortcut. Most dev work will be single-pane as that's what most users use. It will take some time until I do anything else for dual-pane layouts.

I just drag the tab I want to replicate to the "+" sign on the right side of the tabs in the other pane. That works fine and is quick and easy.

That's even better, and something I even forgot I implemented :) Thanks, I'll put it in the upcoming manual!

A mirror feature is actually very favorable, because users often organize sub folders and files within one directory and escalate the job to higher directories for back-ups and alike. Such a feature would therefore be very useful and I'd also suggest to implement that, for example by visually placing it to the separator in the dual pane view, but to also make it accessible by a hotkey.
